The EAEU Common Medicines Market: The End-2025 Turning Point

The Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU)

Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Armenia and Kyrgyzstan — operates a common market for medicines. Under it, the registration dossiers of medicines registered under national rules must be brought into compliance with the Union's common rules.

The critical threshold was 31 December 2025. Medicines registered under national rules could remain on the market until then; manufacturers and representatives wishing to stay on the market had to file a compliance application by that date. For products filed before 31 December 2025, registrations are extended for the duration of the procedure (up to 3 years from filing).

According to public data, about 6,900 medicines are on the Union register, of which roughly 4,700–5,000 are in circulation; about 67% of these dossiers comply with EAEU rules. At CSC, we manage GDP-compliant cold chain and documentation for supply to Kazakhstan and EAEU markets in line with this framework.
